Message from the Host
Brad Dolloff
Dean of the Lab School
School of the Ozarks
Theme & Speaker
“How can we avoid mission drift and resist the pull of fashionable ideas? As G.K. Chesterton pointed out, man has his feet set forward but his face turned back, for he can see the past clearly—but not the future. Join us to contemplate how we can approach the future in the “mirror of yesterday,” making progress by way of paradox.”
The plenary speaker for the Missouri Summit will be Dr. Chris Schlect.
Travel Details
Travel
While driving is the best option for most people, the closest airport is Springfield, MO (SGF), which is about an hour from campus. Renting a car will be less expensive than using Uber or Lyft. If you are looking for a potential carpool, email Brian Polk at [email protected].
Parking
Attendees will enter though the “Gates of Opportunity” (main campus entrance) located at 100 Opportunity Ave Point Lookout MO. The security guard will direct you to either the Lab School or to the Keeter Center (depending on when you arrive). Both buildings are on the very front of campus.
Check In
If you are coming early to visit the school, you will check in at the School of the Ozarks school office. If you are arriving for the afternoon activities, check in will be at the Keeter Center outside of the Silver Dollar City Parlor.
