Director of Academics

Position Description

Liberty Classical Academy is a Christian, classical, private school for Preschool through 12th grade, with locations in White Bear Lake and Hugo, MN, that is currently searching for a Director of Academics. The Director of Academics focuses on academic leadership, curriculum development, faculty support, and student success. This role involves collaborating with the Director of Students, overseeing academic programs, and ensuring compliance with educational standards and policies.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with classical education, preferably in a K-12 setting
• Strong expertise in classical instructional practices and standards

Responsibilities
• Provides academic leadership through guidance and support to the school’s academic staff, including department heads, faculty, and other administrative staff.
• Assists in the development and implementation of curricula, ensuring alignment with classical education standards and Christian worldview.
• Aids in the development and ensures compliance with school and state policies and procedures related to academics.
• Works with the Headmaster, Director of Students, other administrators, faculty, and staff to address academic issues and ensure school-wide communication.
• Analyzes student achievement data and other relevant information to inform instructional decisions and improve student academic outcomes.
• Manages and allocates resources related to academic programs and initiatives through the curriculum budget.
• Oversees and assists in the planning and coordination of class scheduling.
• Serving as a liaison between the school and accrediting bodies.
• Performs other duties that may be assigned by the Headmaster.
