Position Overview
Trinity Classical Academy in Birmingham, AL is seeking passionate, faith-driven
teachers to join our founding team as we prepare to launch our classical Christian
academy in fall 2026. The successful candidate will be committed to nurturing
young minds and hearts in a Christ-centered, classical learning environment. We
invite applicants who have experience with classical Christian education—or those
eager to invest time and energy in learning its philosophy and pedagogy.

Trinity Classical Academy is going into its first school year and is a ministry of Trinity
Presbyterian Church (a CREC church).

Through a rigorous, Christ-centered classical education we shape the intellect, train
affections, and cultivate virtue–thereby sculpting worshipful lives.

Key Responsibilities
Instructional Duties
● Teach core subjects through a classical Christian lens
● Integrate Scripture and a biblical worldview throughout the curriculum
● Foster curiosity, wonder, and a love of learning in students
Classroom Culture & Formation
● Establish a classroom culture rooted in virtue, order, joy, and grace
● Use age-appropriate discipline and instruction that supports character
formation
● Build habits of attentiveness, obedience, and respect
Parent Partnership & Communication
● Serve as a co-laborer with parents in their child’s academic and spiritual
development
● Maintain regular, open communication with families
● Participate in parent-teacher events and school community life
Professional Collaboration & Growth
● Engage in regular faculty meetings and shared prayer.

● Commit to professional growth in classical Christian education through
readings, mentorship, or workshops.
● Contribute to school start-up planning and cultural formation.
Qualifications
Spiritual & Personal
● A mature follower of Jesus Christ, committed to biblical truth
● Active member of a local church and in agreement with the school’s
Statement of Faith
● Passionate about the integration of faith, virtue, and learning
Educational & Professional
● Teaching experience preferred
● Prior experience in a classical Christian school is a plus—but not required if the
applicant is open to training and mentorship
Skills & Dispositions
● Joyful, nurturing, and calm classroom presence
● Excellent communication and organizational skills
● Teachable spirit with a willingness to be mentored and to
mentor others
● Alignment with classical values of beauty, truth, goodness, and
order
