Kindergarten/1st Grade or 2nd/3rd Grade Combined Teacher

Position Description

Location: Fuquay Varina, NC

Schedule: Mondays – Fridays, 8:00–2:30 PM

Responsibilities include:

Kindergarten/1st Combined or 2nd/3rd Grade Combined

·       Lead a Christ-centered classroom environment that fosters both academic excellence and spiritual growth

·       Teach core elementary subjects using a classical Christian education model, including phonics, reading, handwriting, math, Scripture, and literature

·       Cultivate wonder, virtue, discipline, and a love of learning through age-appropriate instruction and classroom routines

·       Maintain consistent communication with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom activities

·       Manage classroom behavior with grace, consistency, and biblical principles

·       Prepare lesson plans, classroom materials, and enrichment activities aligned to the school’s curriculum and mission

·       Collaborate with fellow teachers and school leadership to support student success and school culture

·       Participate in school events, staff meetings, and other community activities as needed

·       Foster strong classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety

·       Encourage students in character formation, respect, responsibility, and servant leadership

Qualifications:

·       Active and growing Christian faith with agreement to the school’s Statement of Faith

·       Passion for discipling and educating children from a biblical worldview

·       Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both students and parents

·       Ability to create an engaging, nurturing, and structured classroom environment

·       Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field

·       Prior teaching, homeschooling, childcare, or classroom experience preferred

·       Demonstrates patience, flexibility, humility, and a servant-hearted attitude
