Science Teacher – Upper School

Position Description

The Science Teacher position involves teaching a variety of science courses that vary each year as the school progresses through the following academic cycles:

· Cycle 1: Chemistry

· Cycle 2: Physics

· Cycle 3: Biology

For the 2026-27 school year, the school will be on Cycle 2 and focus on Physics with the following courses planned:

·      Form 2 (4th-6th Grade): Physics for the Logic Stage

·      Form 3 (7th-9th Grade): Physical Science (using Novare or Berean Builders)

·      Form 4 (10th-12th Grade): Physics (using Novare or Berean Builders)

This position also involves teaching other content areas, depending on the candidate’s specialization, and may include math, Latin, and humanities.

In addition to teaching, this position also involves collaborating with the headmaster to develop the school’s vision for science education and the curriculum for each form. While the courses listed above are in the school’s current scope and sequence, the headmaster desires to craft a more robust program with the new science teacher.
