Position Description

Job Title: Upper School Math Teacher (Grades 7–12)
Location: Tucson Baptist Academy – Tucson, Arizona
Position Type: Full-Time, 12-Month Contract
Start Date: July 31, 2025

Overview:

Tucson Baptist Academy is seeking a qualified and committed Math Teacher for grades 7 through 12. The ideal candidate will be passionate about classical Christian education and demonstrate the ability to instruct students in a variety of math courses while cultivating a love for learning and a pursuit of truth through a biblical worldview.

Courses May Include:

Pre-Algebra

Algebra I

Algebra II

Consumer Math

Geometry

Pre-Calculus

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging and rigorous lessons aligned with a classical, biblical approach to mathematics.

Foster a classroom atmosphere of order, respect, and academic rigor.

Assess student performance regularly and communicate effectively with students and parents.

Participate in school events, faculty meetings, and professional development.

Uphold the mission, standards, and statement of faith of Tucson Baptist Academy.

Qualifications:

A personal testimony of salvation and a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or Education (with a concentration in math); Master’s degree preferred.

ACCS certification or willingness to obtain one.

Classroom teaching experience at the middle or high school level is strongly preferred.

Agreement with the doctrines and philosophy of Tucson Baptist Church and Academy.

A commitment to classical Christian education and a biblical worldview.
