The theme of the 2024 Administrators Summits is Learning to Walk Backwards: Making Progress by Paradox.

“How can we avoid mission drift and resist the pull of fashionable ideas? As G.K. Chesterton pointed out, man has his feet set forward but his face turned back, for he can see the past clearly—but not the future. Join us to contemplate how we can approach the future in the “mirror of yesterday,” making progress by way of paradox.”

The plenary speaker for the Texas Summit will be Joshua Gibbs.

Reviews from Recent Summits

“I highly recommend attending an ACCS Regional Summit and hearing Josh Gibbs speak. In meeting Josh, he quickly makes it clear that he is, first and foremost, a teacher. This is your opportunity to hear what great teachers think of our schools, what attracts them to schools, and what motivates them to stay.  He started the discussion by giving us an authoritative and friendly challenge. He left us with the right questions to guide our struggle.”

Head of School at Cary Christian School (Cary, NC)

“Infused with professional, pedagogical, and philosophical iron-sharpening, the 2024 ACCS Summit I attended in Cary, NC was more a feast for administrators than a light lunch. The careful facilitation by Devin O’Donnell and the compelling call to attend to “things that last” by Joshua Gibbs gave me much to sink my teeth into for the weeks ahead. Your teachers need you to attend this gathering.”
